The Neapolitan photographer’s selection of photographs explores the cultural roots of the Mediterranean to lead visitors to a reflection on the themes of memory and origins and the persistence of the past in the present.
The dialogue with the ancient, reread through the eyes of the contemporary, is also echoed within Palazzo Velabro in Joseph Kosuth’s work βMaxima Proposito Ovidio,β 2017, whose neon light words quote phrases from a series of texts by Ovidio, and in the work of Ettore Spalletti, the great master of light, in βDittico, Azzurro Toro,β 2014.
